Alexei I Kostrikin （1929～2000） 1929年2月生于大莫雷斯。1952年毕业于莫斯科大学数学力学系，1959年获数理科学博士学位。1972年任莫斯科大学高等代数教研室主任，1976年升为教授，同年当选为苏联科学院通讯院士，1977——1980年任数学力学系系主任，1991年起为莫斯科大学学术委员会成员。主要从事李代数、有限群、非结合代数、上同调群、群和代数的组合理论、表示论、整数格等的研究。1968年获苏联国家奖。

Gilbert Strang received his Ph.D. from UCLA and since then he has taught at MIT. He has been a Sloan Fellow and a Fairchild Scholar and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
